What is chemical reaction


A chemical reaction is one in which two or more molecules are react together and make a new molecule which properties are different then the reacting molecules , the molecule which is form called product and the molecules which is react together for produce or made the product called reactant for example

                              A + B = C

Here is A and B is the reactant and C is the product the  symbol  is denoted that the reaction is completed and the above complete reaction is called chemical reaction and the arrangement is called the chemical equation it have also denoted for the symbol of catalyst if it is present in the reaction and the reaction have also symbol of heat as you see in many of the reaction it because the chemical reaction some time required heat and some time it is release heat it denoted for that

                    A + B → C +50^OC
           

For example the above reaction there is A and B are react together and made C and there is 50^OC  is added because there is 50^OC heat are evolved by this reaction and this type of reaction is called Exothermic reaction   An example of the exothermic reaction is the reaction of the dry lime and water here is the CaO is react with H₂O and form Ca(OH)₂ which is called calcium hydroxide and this process is name by hydration of lime where hydrogen molecules are add with the calcium oxide and the vessel is used for this reaction is heated which mean there is heat evolved and its bubble is evolved in the water as you can see in this experiment vessel

                      A + B → C – 30^OC

denoted that there is 30^OC of heat is required for the reaction to be complete and this type of reaction are called as Endothermic reaction for this type of reaction we have to put heat the reaction vessel and then we can see the reaction can complete and the product is formed example of endothermic reaction is formation of ethylene from ethyl alcohol there is Al₂O₃ is used as the catalyst

For further the chemical reaction equation is also have this type of form

                   A + B → C + D

There is A and B are reactant and the C is product as usual but the D is called by product it can be understanding by the following example

   C₂H₅OH + CH₃COOH → CH₃COOC₂H₅ + H₂O


Here is the ethyl alcohol is react with acetic acid and form ethyl acetate which is an ester so the reaction is called as esterification and there is the water is called by product which is undesirable it called also as the side product

So it is the overview of any chemical reaction and it is not enough for it lest talk about how the chemical reaction is occur

How chemical reaction occur

For to understand how chemical reaction is occur first to understand of about atom are present in any molecules of the component  for example  H₂O it is the water molecule which is the product of two individual molecule namely hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen(O₂) lets talk about atom in these molecules

  H₂ or hydrogen we know the electronic configuration of any molecule or component so from there or from the periodic table we know hydrogen have 1 atomic number its mean that one molecule of hydrogen have 1 atom so its electronic configuration is as  as follows            H₂ =1

                   

  And it is denoted by something like that
the circle point is denote the number of electron in its last class which called valency so the valency which last class electron is participate in the reaction

Similarly for oxygen  O₂=8=2,6


It have 6 electron in last class so it have valency 6

According to there valency every element want to establish so there is the for establish of the oxygen want to be 2 electron and hydrogen have only one electron so oxygen react with two hydrogen atom for complete our last class and there is the reaction occur and the two hydrogen molecules are react something like that



So it the basic method for all chemical reaction and it occur in same manner but only substance and the component are changed so the chemical reaction is not enough to describe as I told you so it is its basic detail of of chemical reaction for further you could talk about that in comment I will elaborate it further
